Greetings,

You are invited to the Careers for Impact Lunch on Wednesday February 20, 2019, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Parkway Ballroom in the Plemmons Student Union.  Careers for Impact is a new event sponsored by the Career Development Center to showcase businesses and non-profit organizations whose missions are purpose-driven with a focus on creating a sustainable and inclusive economy.  The employers participating in the event fall into at least one of the following categories:

1. Science for Change

2. Sustainable Business and Social Entrepreneurship

3. Social Impact and Advocacy

You have been invited and given priority registration because of your interest, engagement, and leadership on campus in sustainability efforts.  The priority registration is only active until Friday February 1, 2019.  You need to register here.   Please make note on your calendar -- registration is an official RSVP and indicates that you will attend.

The Office of Sustainability is partnering with Career Development for the lunch.  It will start promptly at 12:00 noon and remarks will be made at 12:15. You will have a chance to sit and talk to employers such as Unity Digital Agency, Lead for America, HealthCorps, The Biltmore Company, Gaia Herbs, The Bark House at Highland Craftsmen Inc, The Collider, NC Biotech Center, Green Sage Cafe, Peace Corps, Ben and Jerry’s, ESRI, Penland School, Sustaining Way, and Buchi.

The entire Careers for Impact event begins at 10:00 on the morning of Wednesday February 20 with sessions open to all students.  You can find the full schedule in Handshake.  Please share this event with your friends.

I hope you will accept our invitation for lunch and to engage with employers who literally are the change in the world.
