NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING 2019.

This 8-day, 3-credit hour international experience explores the complex intersection between history, religion, and culture. Like Candomblé in Brazil and Voodoo in Haiti, Santería is a syncretic religion based on Ifá and Roman Catholic traditions. In addition to exploring the history that laid the foundation of the Afro-Atlantic religion, this study abroad will provide students an opportunity to examine how Santería shaped Cuban culture.
