Planning international travel in the future - you should begin the process of obtaining a passport and the University Post Office can help!
If you are home during fall break this would be a good time to get a "certified" copy of your birth certificate which is required to obtain a passport for the first time. If you are renewing a passport make sure you have your original with you.
We are located in Miles Annas Student Services Building. Come to the front window, Mon. – Fri., 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and ask for passport assistance to pick up an application. Once complete the University Post Office will accept your application and send it to the government for processing. If you need a passport photo, we also offer this service.
Please remember that securing a passport is a process that begins with an application and must then proceed through government channels. Therefore, we are told to advise applicants that receiving your passport may take between four and six weeks, so please apply for your passport well ahead of your trip.
There is an expedited service that will provide your passport faster, two to three weeks, but this service is more expensive than the routine service.
