Mental Health Ambassadors accepting applications: Please share with students!

Do you know a student who is passionate about mental health and would make a great peer leader? Encourage them to apply to be a Mental Health Ambassador!The Mental Health Ambassadors (MHA) are a group of student peer educators who promote awareness of mental health through educational presentations and student interaction. The goal of MHA is to remove the stigma associated with talking about mental health, making it part of App State’s broader campus conversation. Training for MHA is provided by the Counseling Center. Benefits of being part of MHA include:  

  • Meeting a supportive community
  • Developing leadership and communication skills
  • Gaining experience to prepare for graduate school or career
  • Promoting positive mental health on campus

Applications are now open for the 2021-2022 school year. Interested students must complete an application form and ask for references from two individuals. All application materials are due by Friday March 12th. For more information, please visit: and click “Applications.”
