Nasher Museum of Art: Diversity Internship Program

The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, are currently accepting applications for the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) Diversity Internship Program!

Intended to increase the diversity of those working in our institutions to better reflect the diverse communities being served, the AAMD Diversity Internship Programprovides support for undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds who wish to pursue careers in art museums.

Housed within the Nasher Museum’s Department of Academic Initiatives, the intern will assist in the reinstallation of part of the museum’s collection and create an interactive wall supporting the re-installation. The internship runs for 12 weeks from June to August 2019 and requires a full-time commitment (32 hours/week). A stipend of $6,300 will be provided, in addition to paid travel and expenses to two museum conferences for networking, professional development, and to meet their fellow AAMD interns.
