Next Week's Volunteer Opportunities with the Office of Sustainability

Need some volunteer hours? Want to come help out the Office of Sustainability?
We always have volunteer opportunities in our Free Store and Food Pantry located in our office in the bottom of East Hall.

The first Cigarette Butt Cleanup of the semester will be this Wednesday, January 30th from 10am-12pm. We'll meet at the Office of Sustainability before heading out.
If interested in volunteering, please reach out to Rebecca Walton at

From the Sustainability & Environmental Education Club (SEEC):

"Our first event the semester is taking place BEFORE our first meeting. We will be running a mass trash clean-up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The event will take place on Saturday, February 2nd. We will all meet at a specific part on the parkway at 10 AM. We will have a small gathering, and then people will split up and tackle different parts of their parkway. This event is completely determined by you, so you can leave when you want or stay as long as you'd like. The club will provide trash bags, recycling bags, latex gloves, and some snacks. I will send more details to those who are interested, as the date draws closer.
