Professional Clothing Drive for students

The Student Government Association and the Career Development Center are collecting professional clothing donations for students.  The items will be available to students at no cost at a series of Pop-Up Shops. The first “Look Smart” store is scheduled for Wednesday, September 12 from 11:00 to 1:00 in Rough Ridge Room in the Plemmons Student Union.  Students are encouraged to use the items for interviews, networking events, conferences, and other professional opportunities.

We need clothing for our first shop!  Please donate your gently used professional items in ready to wear condition with no stains, odors, tears, or missing buttons. Items that may be donated include suits, blazers, sport-coats, collared shirts, long sleeve dress shirts and blouses, polo shirts, knee-length or longer dresses, and skirts.  Plus sizes, shoes, and accessories welcome.

There are currently 4 collection sites on-campus:

  1. SGA Office, Room 213 Plemmons Student Union

  2. The Office of Sustainability in East Hall, 175 Locust Street, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm

  3. The Career Development Center, Room 369 John E Thomas, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm

  4. The Student Affairs Office, Room 109, BB Dougherty Administration Building, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
