SCORE Initiative - Sustaining Collaborative Opportunities for Research and Education

The Office of Research, the Research Institute for Environment, Energy and Economics (RIEEE) and the Blue Cross Blue Shield NC Institute for Health and Human Services (BCBSNC IHHS) are pleased to announce the SCORE Initiative - Sustaining Collaborative Opportunities for Research and Education.  This inter-institute effort to recognize, support and build interdisciplinary research and education at Appalachian will include a lunch series, existing research cluster presentations and a new funding opportunity this fall.   We begin with three mid-day events, each featuring presentations from three faculty members working in an area where we see significant potential for additional collaboration on our campus and in our region.  The goals of the lunch series include raising awareness and facilitating connections, so each day will allow time for some networking.  The lunch series will be held in 224 IG Greer Hall and heavy hors d'ourves and beverages will be served.  Please save the following dates, join us and watch for announcements about other SCORE opportunities this fall: Obesity - Wednesday, September 6, 2017
