Faculty and students are invited to attend a virtual lecture on Thursday, September 16th, 6-7pm. This presentation will provide insight into barriers to healthcare that immigrants in North Carolina face, and how UNCG's Center for New North Carolinians is working to combat these issues via the Immigrant Health Access Program. This project provides a model for local social action to reduce healthcare inequity.
Guest speakers from the Center for New North Carolinians include: Naglaa Rashwan (Senior Coordinator of the Immigrant Health Access Program) and Lilian Levyi (Community Health Worker and Interpreter).
