The purpose of this project was to present an aesthetically pleasing recital for flute, piano and alto flute with extensive program notes. The music for the recital included J.J. Quantz's Concerto in G for flute, Jonathan Bayley's Music for Pan on alto flute, J.S. Bach's Sonata in A Major (BWV 1032), and Prokofiev's Flute Sonata in D Major, Op. 94. The program notes included biographical information about each composer, contextual and analytical background for each piece, and the author's personal connection to each piece.
