My undergraduate thesis involves collecting data, forming hypotheses, conducting univariate and regression analysis, and analyzing results to determine the factors that impact job placement for Finance and Banking majors in today's employment market. Variables that I test include, for example, GPA, club/organization involvement, when students begin their job search, internship, and others. The most statistically significant factors shown in my research are club involvement and students starting their job search early. Results will be helpful for students going into the Finance and Banking field after graduation to know what employers will look for when they are hiring job candidates.
