Honors Faculty member Dr Alexandra Sterling-Hellenbrand will be spending the Spring 2020 semester at the University of Graz in Graz, Austria, as Fulbright Visiting Professor of Cultural Studies. Dr. Sterling-Hellenbrand is a professor of German and global studies in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Appalachian State University. In Honors she has taught seminars like HON 1515: Wolves: Facts and Fictions, HON 2515: The Blue Danube, and the faculty-led study abroad seminar HON 3515: King Arthur. This summer, Dr. Sterling-Hellenbrand will be one of three faculty members leading for the reoccuring Honors 2515/3515 study abroad course, Culture and the Arts in Vienna. While with the Fulbright Scholar Program in Austria, Sterling-Hellenbrand "will teach two interdisciplinary courses — Borders and Walls and The American Middle Ages — for the University of Graz’s Center for Inter-American Studies."
