Honors student and Rising Junior Shaina Katz spent her summer interning at Tel Aviv University. Shaina, a political science major and Arabic minor, conducted research on Middle Eastern political theory with Dr. Or Honig, a Lecturer in the Departmen tof Security and Diplomacy. Specifically, Shaina has been studying King Hussein and Jordon’s response to the defeat of the 1967 War. In addition to the work of her internship Shaina has been able to travel within Israel on weekends to places such as Haifa, Eilat, and Jerusalem (pictured here at the Bedouin tents in the Negev before a late night hike). Shaina plans to stay in Tel Aviv for the fall in order to study Arabic and continue her research with Dr. Honig.
