Current instructors have access to a rapidly evolving world in which there are many methods and resources for classroom use. As new teachers, it is important to be aware of the many practiced teaching approaches and to be open to methods that might work for both educator and student. Many times in traditional American instruction, the introduction of new technology has inspired over-confidence in the transformation and reform of teaching. With the advent of each new technology, administrators and teachers alike have rejoiced at how much better they would teach.  So it continues today, with the advent of the iPod and podcasting, the iPad, and SMART Boards, a wave of new hopes has fluttered through the teaching community.
