Dr. Leslie Jones traveled to Rio de Janeiro in July for the quadrennial International Brain Research Organization conference, where neuroscientists from around the world gathered to present and discuss the latest findings in the world of brain research. There she met Honors student Kyle Sasser, the Editor-in-Chief of IMPULSE, the undergraduate neuroscience journal that is hosted through the Honors College at Appalachian. They presented a poster on using the journal as a neuroscience teaching tool. They were joined by co-author Pierre Kriek, the Associate Editor from the IMPULSE Review Team at Appalachian’s partner institution, the University of the Free State, South Africa.
