Message from Dean Jeff Vahlbusch

Welcome from Dean Jeff Vahlbusch

Dear Honors students and parents, colleagues and friends,

There is something so special about moving to campus to begin a new fall semester.

I will never tire of the energy, excitement, and promise of students returning to a place they love, of new students discovering how to love the same place, of campus staff and faculty knowing again, as if for the first time, why we do what we do.

If my counting is correct, this is my 45th fall campus move-in:  as an undergraduate and then graduate student, as a lecturer and then professor, as Honors program director and now the Honors College dean.

We in the Honors College at Appalachian are looking forward to helping create a great year of opportunities in and out of the classroom, of unconditional support, and of Honors life and Honors community-building. Please reach out to me (vahlbuschjb@appstate.edu; 828-262-7573) if you would like to help!

Honors students and faculty, stay tuned for news on your Student Opportunity Center subscription by clicking here.

Yours,

Jeff
