(1) Mental Health! Please read:
Dear Honors students: Remember that App State has rich resources for students experiencing mental health concerns, and for students concerned about a friend who might be experiencing the same.
Who do you turn to for help and support? Me, any Honors College staff member, your RA or your building director, and our superb App State Counseling Center: Miles Anna Building, 1st floor (right behind the Student Union!), 828-262-3180 (the phone is answered during business hours—8 a.m. to 5 p.m.—and after hours for emergencies). Click here for the Counseling Center’s website. Just reach out!
(2) Apply to be a Resident Advisor!
I encourage Honors College students to apply to become a Resident Advisor (RA), and the application process is about to begin! Click here to learn more about the application process.
Before you apply, you must attend one (mandatory) information session from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. in PSU 169 (Three Top Mountain): Choose from these dates: Sunday 10/27, Monday 10/28, Tuesday 10/29, Wednesday 10/30, or Sunday 11/3, Monday 11/4, Tuesday 11/5, Wednesday 11/6.
Let me know if you want to apply, or are thinking about it!
Yours,
Jeff
