Taylor Carrillo

Taylor Carillo is a second-year student in App State’s Master of Social Work program, specializing in individual and family therapy. She came on as the Honors College graduate assistant in the Fall 2024 semester after moving to Boone from Rifle, Colorado. Since then, Taylor has created an updated Honors College Student Handbook, hosted thesis writing nights, and assisted in planning the Honors College Fall 2025 Welcome Week and our annual day of service. During the semester, Taylor is available to talk with Honors College students about their degree path, honors requirements, thesis-writing, or life in general! She spends the majority of her time processing thesis plans and honors contracts as well as collecting and interpreting data to help our college grow. She has previous experience in agriculture, youth development, non-profit work, and ski resort operations, but she is always happy to learn something new to help honors students in any department!
