Message from Dean Jeff Vahlbusch

Dear Honors College students, faculty, and friends,

We will remember these days as days when we needed good people to step up to lead.  I am thrilled to announce—and both wowed and grateful—that twelve Honors College students have declared their candidacies for various seats in the Student Government Association in the current election:  Keyona Anthony, Hannah Blankenship, Nadine Jallal, Hunter Koch, Matthew Mair, Olexandr "Sasha" Ramsey, Connor Ranes, Lily Ronk, Connor Schlaline, Kayla Slade, Molly Spruill, and Jason Turcios. Please see Lakin Stevens's Honors Spotlight article below for information about their candidacy!

Voting in this major SGA election started on August 31, and will be open until 5:00 p.m. this Friday, September 4th.  Votes can be cast here. All students in the Honors College should now be able to vote, with no impediments, in all contests for general and Honors College Senate seats. Students:  please support the fragile miracle of democratic elections by casting your vote and thus amplifying your voice.

Yours,

Jeff
