Dear Honors students and friends of Honors,

It seems we have reached the point in the year where we, without fail, ask ourselves “how did summer go by so fast?” My hope is that your summer was spent doing, acting, being, and engaged, whether that be in Boone or somewhere else. Maybe you did an internship, maybe a summer job, maybe you traveled, or maybe you spent time learning about, or becoming involved in your family or local community! In whatever activities you participated, I hope you were able to stay connected and invested, that you have gained valuable perspective and been rejuvenated in real-life experiences.

With the new school year approaching in less than three weeks, I wish you all a restful end to the summer and a smooth transition back to Boone. Remember to pause every now and then, especially during the stressful times of move-in. Every new school year marks a new chapter— one filled with exciting experiences and memories. Remember to make every page worthwhile, and please share with us the experiences you’ve had over the summer. We would love to highlight your stories and knowledge with the rest of the Honors community in an upcoming Honors Wednesday Memo!

All the best,

Kistler Hunt
