Uniola paniculata (Poaceae), or sea oats, is a coastal grass associated with sandy dunes. The distribution of this species ranges from Virginia south to the Florida Keys, throughout the Gulf of Mexico coastline, as well as the Bahamas and parts of Cuba. We reconstructed the phylogeographic history of this dune grass using variation in chloroplast DNA sequences. Using three primer pairs, we identified four variable sites. The sequences indicated four haplotypes. The variation we identified was not sufficient to infer unambiguous phylogeny of U.

"Fl-Reader Device Adoption within the Collegiate Textbook Market" studies the potential usage of eBooks and e-reader devices as textbooks on college campuses. As a marketing research thesis, various levels of studies are completed to determine if there is indeed an interest and a desire for this emerging technology to be offered to college students.

Social justice arises when all the various groups in our global community are treated fairly and equitable, providing equal opportunities for everyone to live a productive and empowered life. Attaining a state of social justice is idealistic but achievable when we teach the youngest members of our society, elementary-school students, to become aware of injustices, to empathize with others, and to turn their thoughts and words into actions, becoming activists for social justice.

This thesis examines the relationship between video game play and body image perceptions. to this point, most research on the effects of media images has focused on thin images presented among celebrities, in magazines, and on television. With the growing popularity of video games among both sexes of all ages.  interest in the potential effects of these games has also increased. This thesis examines the relationship between the frequency of video game play and individual body image  perceptions for both the self and social ideals.

Zapatismo Past and Present explores the organizing principles and tendencies of the Zapatistas, with reference to the author’s experiences living in Zapatista territory, as well as official Zapatista documents.  It explores the unique ideology and cosmo-vision of the Zapatistas, focusing on their commitment to collective action.  This essay also explores the Other Campaign and Zapatista notions of solidarity, focusing on how Zapatismo may translate beyond Chiapas.

Through the speed and breadth of our informational networks today (such as cable television, the Internet, and printed news), the individual investor has access to a plethora of investment gurus who promise above average returns on a variety of investments. It is difficult for the investor to wade through this information environment and determine whose investment picks to trust, if any. A number of media luminaries inevitably rise to the top of the collective investor conscience and gain a large following among individual investors.

The research is preceded by a background in the history of community gardens. It details the positive effects created by community gardens, namely community building and increased social ties. Also, this paper explores the struggles faced by community gardeners, and how these struggles unite a community. The current social and financial benefits of community gardening are investigated.

In an age when individuals are constantly interconnected via wireless technologies, it is important to update and maintain security systems.  These systems should focus on human behavior so that security does not become a secondary task.  It is important for businesses to remain aware of the human elements of security so that confidential internal and client information remains safe.  This thesis examines how the psychological tendencies of humans influence decisions made regarding security.

Since the 1980's the Financial Accounting Standards Board has significantly increased the number of fair value accounting standards, leading to an immense increase if fair value reporting. The most recent of which, SFAS 157 Fair Value Measurements, has been plagued witq controversy since its inception in 2006. This paper provides a brief history of fair value reporting and describes the provisions of the statement.

There are several aspects of my thesis that I would like to discuss in addition to providing a brief description of erasure poetry. This overview will give the reader an understanding of both how erasure poetry works and why it is so unique, and in doing so will make my thesis more understandable. After this overview I am going to detail some of the difficulties of this thesis, the solutions, the occasional unexpected results, and most importantly its purpose as a whole.
